Welcome to Faith Church Singapore (FCS)

At our church, we hope that through His Word and by His Spirit, and through the fellowship of the saints you will get to know and experience the Heavenly Father’s unfailing love for you.

John 1:17 (AMP)
17 For while the Law was given through Moses, grace (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ.

By our Father’s Grace, we endeavour to teach His Word of Truth that Faith be imparted to your life. Then through Faith you may access His Grace all the time for yourself and for others, thus helping you to develop spiritually and helping your faith grow exceedingly.

The Heavenly Father has given FCS this mandate, that is, “Prayer is Our Mission.” Through prayer we hope that you will fulfill the destiny that our Father God’s unfailing love has planned for you.

I pray that FCS will be a blessing to you. Let us help you fulfill this unique plan that God has for your life.
May our Heavenly Father’s Unfailing Love pour out His abundance of Grace upon you!

WE ARE PARTAKERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Hebrews 6:4 (NKJV) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit …The Greek word translated as "partakers" of the Holy Spirit in this verse is also used in these other verses. WE ARE PARTAKERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Hebrews 6:4 (NKJV)
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit …

The Greek word translated as partakers of the Holy Spirit in this verse is also used in these other verses.

Hebrews 3:1 (NKJV)
Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus …

In this verse, Christians are called holy brethren, and they are partakers of the heavenly calling. Anyone who is not a Christian cannot be a partaker of the heavenly calling and cannot be considered holy.

Hebrews 3:14 (NKJV) For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end …

The word partakers in this verse refers to Christians who have participated together in their possession of Christ.

Luke 5:7 (NKJV)
So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

In this verse, the Greek word for partakers is translated as partners when fishing together in the same boat. They all had a part in bringing in the fish.

Dictionaries give these meanings for the word partakers: companion, sharing in, partaking of, partners, one who shares with someone else as an associate in an enterprise or undertaking, being in the companionship of, one who shares in, partaking - characterised by having, giving, or receiving a share of (something).

With the meanings of this word and usage in the scriptures, what this word partake in Hebrews 6:4 means is someone who takes in the Holy Spirit when he is born again. The Holy Spirit is his companion, his partner. He is someone who shares with the Holy Spirit as an associate to have His eternal life, His righteousness, His holiness, and receives the fruits from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit becomes this persons companion because He lives inside this person.

Hebrews 6:4 is about someone who already is a companion, partner, sharer, of the Holy Ghost. Therefore, to be a companion, partner and partaker of the Holy Ghost, the person must be born again. We, as Christians, are all partakers of the Holy Spirit. He is our companion, and we share His attributes.

THE EPHESIANS' DUAL EXPERIENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Paul was on his third missionary journey. He arrived in Ephesus (western part of Turkey today) about 20 years after the Day of Pentecost. Acts 19:1–4 (NET)1 While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went through the inland regions and came to Ephesus. He found some disciples there 2 and said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They replied, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”3 So Paul said, “Into what then were you baptised?” “Into John’s baptism,” they replied. 4 Paul said, “John baptised with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”The disciples of John the Baptist were walking in all the light they had. They had not even heard that there was a Holy Spirit until they met Paul. Acts 19:5 (NET) When they heard this, they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus …When they heard Paul tell them about Jesus and what happened to Him, they were baptised in the name of the Lord. They received Jesus as their Saviour and were baptised into Christ, receiving the Holy Spirit into their spirits. This was their first experience with the Holy Spirit. Acts 19:6 (NET) and when Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began to speak in tongues and to prophesy. And then Paul laid hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came upon them. The baptism with the Holy Spirit is when He comes upon the believers. They were baptised with the Holy Spirit, received the gift of speaking with unknown tongues, and prophesied. Here was their second experience with the Holy Spirit. The moment they were born again, they were instantly baptised with the Holy Spirit and spoke with unknown tongues. There is no need to wait to be baptised with the Holy Spirit. We should get unbelievers saved, teach them the fundamentals of Christianity to lay the foundation of God”s Word, so that they grow spiritually. When they receive salvation, we should immediately instruct them to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Then teach them about the gift of speaking with unknown tongues. Four instructions for every new believer to help them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit:1. Jesus said, in His Name, those who believe will speak in new tongues (Mark 16:15-17)2. Ask the Heavenly Father for the gift of the baptism with the Holy Spirit to receive the gift of speaking with unknown tongues3. Ask in faith, and believe they receive the moment they ask4. Yield to the Holy Spirit and begin to speak with unknown tonguesWhen we instruct and lay hands on them, we have to be confident that they receive the moment we ask. Jesus said so Himself that whoever asks for the Holy Spirit, the Heavenly Father will give to them. With our confident faith, we will infect them with our confidence of faith, and it will be easy for them to receive. Any believer can instruct and lay hands on another believer to be baptised with the Holy Spirit, and receive the gift of speaking with unknown tongues. Rev. THE EPHESIANS DUAL EXPERIENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Paul was on his third missionary journey. He arrived in Ephesus (western part of Turkey today) about 20 years after the Day of Pentecost.

Acts 19:1–4 (NET)
1 While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went through the inland regions and came to Ephesus. He found some disciples there
2 and said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They replied, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
3 So Paul said, “Into what then were you baptised?” “Into John’s baptism,” they replied.
4 Paul said, “John baptised with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”

The disciples of John the Baptist were walking in all the light they had. They had not even heard that there was a Holy Spirit until they met Paul.

Acts 19:5 (NET)
When they heard this, they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus …

When they heard Paul tell them about Jesus and what happened to Him, they were baptised in the name of the Lord. They received Jesus as their Saviour and were baptised into Christ, receiving the Holy Spirit into their spirits. This was their first experience with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 19:6 (NET)
and when Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began to speak in tongues and to prophesy.

Four instructions for every new believer to help them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit:

1. Jesus said, in His Name, those who believe will speak in new tongues (Mark 16:15-17)

2. Ask the Heavenly Father for the gift of the baptism with the Holy Spirit to receive the gift of speaking with unknown tongues

3. Ask in faith, and believe they receive the moment they ask

4. Yield to the Holy Spirit and begin to speak with unknown tongues

When we instruct and lay hands on them, we have to be confident that they receive the moment we ask.
