Paul Disregarded the Holy Spirit, What Happened?
In Paul’s second missionary journey, he planted the church in Corinth. On the way to Corinth on his third missionary journey, Paul wrote 1 Corinthians in Ephesus (in the province of Asia, which is Turkey), and 2 Corinthians in Philippi. He wrote to the Corinthians before he arrived there.
By the time of his writing 2 Corinthians, there were already churches established in both Corinth and throughout Greece. So, Paul was addressing more than one church. He told them the troubles they got into in the province of Asia (Turkey) and were despaired even of their lives (2 Corinthians 1:8-9), but God delivered them.
Paul was confident that God who delivered them in the province of Asia, would deliver them again, and would also deliver them in the future. He commended the churches in Corinth and throughout Greece, for helping them through their prayers. Paul and his companions received the gift of grace for their deliverance. This gift of grace was given to Paul through the prayers of the churches.
The disciples in Tyre warned Paul not to go to Jerusalem.
The prophet Agabus also warned Paul, with revelation, not to go to Jerusalem.
What was the difference between the warnings from the disciples and the prophet?
What are the differences between a “T” and “Y” junction in one’s life journey?
Was Paul at a “T” or a “Y” junction?
Why did Paul disregard the Holy Spirit?
What was the Lord’s will for Paul?
