The Faith of Abraham – Faithfulness (Part 1)

God’s promise was given by grace, and Abraham had to receive it by faith. The promise was for those who were under the Law of Moses. It was also for those who would believe by faith like Abraham. Therefore, it was for both the Jews and the Gentiles; both must receive by faith. Abraham became the father of the Jews and the Gentiles.

The promise of God came by grace to Abraham. Abraham heard and believed, and he received it by faith. Then Abraham walked by faith and was justified by faith.

Wherever Abraham settled down and whenever God spoke to him, he built God an altar to worship Him, to honour Him, to acknowledge the Name of the Lord. Abraham was faithful to obey God, faithful to worship God.Abraham acknowledged that it was the abundance of grace from God that enabled him to continue in his journey of obedience and for God to fulfil His covenant in Abraham’s life and through his descendants.

All the nations will be blessed through Abraham’s one seed, that is Jesus.

Abraham was destined for an inheritance on earth then and in the future. What he inherited was passed down to his descendants.

Abraham commanded his children in the way of the Lord. It is the key to passing down our wealth, our inheritance from God to our children and our children’s children. If God is the One who blessed us with our wealth, then we need to teach, instruct, and command them.

Abraham was faithful not to change what God said. Abraham was a man of faith.
