The Faithfulness & Promises of God
The Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the faithful God.
The word “faithful” in the original Hebrew is a verb (a doing word). In other words, when the Bible says God is faithful, it conveys the meaning that He will act or do. God is faithful means He will act or do what He promised or said.
The Hebrew word that defines “faithfulness” means He is dependable, reliable, trustworthy, and certain.
When we depend or rely on His faithfulness, we are certain what He promised or said, will be fulfilled, will happen or will occur because God is dependable, reliable, and trustworthy.
When God says something, it is certain – that’s the meaning of faithfulness.
Abraham was fully convinced or persuaded that God was able to do whatever He promised. This statement by Abraham is the very definition of God’s faithfulness.
There are Three Kinds of Promises:
1) The Promises fulfilled when Jesus died on the cross and rose again 2) 2) The Promises to be fulfilled in the future 3) The Promises that you do not know of
In God’s Faithfulness, regarding… • His promises in Christ, take it now
• His promises for the future, it will be fulfilled
• His promises to Himself, He will lead you to it. When God leads, follow Him; speak what the Holy Spirit puts in your spirit. Promises unknown to you will also be fulfilled.
