3 PURPOSES OF PERSONAL UNKNOWN TONGUESThere are three main purposes for speaking with our Personal Unknown Tongues.SPEAKING MYSTERIES BACK TO GOD1 Corinthians 14:2 (NKJV)2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.Personal Unknown Tongues enable us to establish a direct line of communication with the Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to speak in a way that is beyond human understanding. This form of prayer, spoken in the spirit, is a powerful way to connect with God and pray back the mysteries to Him. When we speak in tongues, we speak mysteries beyond our comprehension but are understood by God. It is a profound way to pray, allowing us to communicate with God on a deeper, spiritual level. Effective prayers are spoken in the spirit. It is the perfect way to pray the will of God for ourselves and others. Speaking mysteries back to God refers to the act of praying in tongues, where we communicate with God in a way that transcends human language and understanding. Romans 8:27 (NLT)27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will.Praying in tongues is praying by the Holy Spirit. God knows our thoughts; it may or may not be the will of God. The Holy Spirit giving us the utterance to pray is in the will of God. When we pray in tongues, we will be praying for the perfect will of God. It means that when we pray in tongues, we align our prayers with God's perfect plan for us and others. It is a powerful way to ensure our prayers align with God's intentions.BUILD UP OUR SPIRIT1 Corinthians 14:4 (NKJV)4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.Speaking in tongues can be used to edify our spirit. The word 'edify' means to 'charge or build up'. When we pray in tongues, we are charging or building strength in our spirit. This daily practice strengthens our spirit and, in turn, strengthens our faith because faith comes into our spirit. A strong spirit is sensitive to the Holy Spirit and has the strength to walk in faith, release our faith, and be strong in prayer. To edify ourselves is a time of not praying for anything. We can pray in tongues while waiting upon the Lord and charging our spirits simultaneously. Edifying oneself through speaking in tongues strengthens our inner man, enhancing our faith and spiritual sensitivity. WORSHIP GODWe can pray in tongues to worship God, magnify Him, and give Him thanks.Ephesians 5:19 (NKJV)19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,Singing in unknown tongues can make melodies to the Lord, worshipping and exalting Him.Acts 10:46 (NKJV)46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.Then Peter answered,Peter preached to Cornelius and his household. The gift of the Holy Spirit fell on them, and they spoke in tongues and praised God's greatness. Especially when facing surmounting challenges in life, as we magnify God in tongues, He will appear much greater than those challenges.1 Corinthians 14:15–17 (NKJV)15 What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. 16 Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who occupies the place of the uninformed say "Amen" at your giving of thanks, since he does not understand what you say? 17 For you indeed give thanks well, but the other is not edified.Singing in tongues is singing in the spirit in praise and worship of God. We can also pray or sing in the spirit to give thanks to God; we will give thanks well. Singing in the spirit, or in tongues, is a form of worship and praise that transcends human language. It is a way to express our gratitude and adoration to God in a deeply spiritual and personal manner.Rev.
