THE HEAVENLY FATHER'S HEART FOR YOUR PROSPERITY

“Beloved, I wish [pray] above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth,” (3 John 2 KJV 1900).The apostle John is revealing the heart of the Heavenly Father. It unveils God’s desire for His children—not only spiritually, but also in their natural lives. The word “prosper” means “to succeed,” “to do well,” “to have a good journey.” God is concerned with how we live on earth, not only where we will live in eternity. GOD'S WILL IS PROSPERITYThe phrase “above all things” reveals priority, not preference. It means God places importance on our well-being. John is praying in accordance with God’s will that we be successful in all we do and have a good journey on earth. It will translate into material and financial prosperity. The Father’s heart is to multiply and increase your material and financial wealth. Prosperity is not greed. It is the capacity to acquire and retain wealth, and to give to fulfil God’s purpose.GOD'S WILL IS HEALTHThe Greek word for “health” means “be in health,” “be sound,” “be whole.” John commands us to pray for health; therefore, sickness is not God’s will. The Holy Spirit had John address the Heavenly Father’s beloved. We are His beloved because we are part of His family. The Father’s desire is that His beloved be in health. SOUL PROSPERITY CONTROLS LIFE PROSPERITYAll your prosperity and health are dependent upon the health of the soul. Many people pray for financial miracles while their minds are still broken, fearful, full of anxiety, and unrenewed. “Blessed is the man…his delight is in the law [Word] of the Lord, and in His law [Word] he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper,” (Psalm 1:1–3 NKJV).The man who delights in God’s Word is like a tree planted by rivers—he prospers in all he does. External fruit depends on the internal root. The soul consists of the Mind, Will, and Emotions. The Mind: A poor mindset can sabotage a wealthy season. Many cannot handle increases because their souls are still wounded. Your mind must be renewed by the truth, not shaped by scarcity thinking and wrong teachings. The Will: An anxious will makes poor decisions. Your will must align with God’s purpose, not fear-driven urgency. The Emotion: Fear produces hoarding. Panic produces foolish selling. Peace produces wisdom. The emotion anchored in God’s Word brings peace.A prosperous soul is one anchored in God’s Word, chooses obedience, lives free from fear and anxiety, secured in who they are in Christ, aligned with the truth, and trusts God’s faithfulness. We cannot live beyond the health of our thinking. Poverty thinking produces poverty outcomes. Faith thinking produces faith actions. Prosperity is not the goal; obedience is. However, prosperity is often the fruit of obedience.Rev. THE WORD OF GOD: FOUR DIMENSIONS OF DIVINE REVELATION (4)

THE WORD OF GRACE: THE BUILDER OF INHERITANCES"So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified." - Acts 20:32 (NKJV)As Paul bid farewell to the Ephesian elders, he did not commend them to a system of rules. He left us with the Word of Grace.- The Difference: The Law exposes our sin and leaves us condemned. The Word of Grace reveals the blood of Jesus, which unconditionally cleanses.- The Builder: The Word of Grace has the power to build you up. It secures your identity. It reminds you that your failures do not define you, but that your standing in Christ—accepted, beloved, and righteous —does. We are saved by grace, kept by grace, and transformed by grace. The Word of Grace reveals:- God's heart: "The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love,” (Psalm 145:8).- Christ's finished work: "For by grace you have been saved through faith… it is the gift of God,” (Ephesians 2:8).- Our new identity: We are not defined by past failures but by present standing in Christ—accepted, beloved, forgiven, righteous, empowered; "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” (Romans 8:1).The Word of Grace secures our inheritance. The Word of Grace has the power, efficacy [the ability to produce the desired result], and sufficiency to build you up. The Word of Grace offers us rest because we have entered into His rest since we are seated at the right hand of the Father in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). We are not forsaken because we are in His Presence; we are the temple of God. ConclusionAs we conclude, we must remember that the Word of God is about a Person. "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14).- In Jesus, we find the Word of Life—He is the resurrection and the life.- In Jesus, we find the Word of Truth—He is the way, the truth, and the life.- In Jesus, we find the Word of Faith—He is the author and perfecter of our faith.- In Jesus, we find the Word of Grace—He is full of grace, and from His fullness we have all received. The Word of God reveals the Heavenly and the Lord Jesus Christ. May the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16). May it be the joy and delight of your heart (Jeremiah 15:16). May it guide you, sustain you, transform you, until the day we see the Lord face to face.Rev. Cheong Yew KwongFaith Church SingaporePlease visit our website at faithchurch.sg#goodtoread ... THE WORD OF GOD: FOUR DIMENSIONS OF DIVINE REVELATION (3)

THE WORD OF FAITH: THE SHIELD AND THE SWORD"But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach," - Romans 10:8 (KJV 1900)."So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God," - Romans 10:17 (NKJV).Faith is not manufactured by positive thinking or pumped up by emotional hype. Faith is born when God's Word is received into the spirit."...through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God," - Romans 5:2 (NKJV).Without faith, we cannot receive from our Heavenly Father. You may have perfect doctrinal knowledge of grace, but without faith, you cannot access it, benefit from it, or walk in it. This is why Satan attacks the Word. He knows: steal the Word, steal the faith. Kill the seed before it germinates.Watch Jesus in the wilderness. When temptation came, He did not answer with emotion, reasoning, or complaint. He answered with Scripture: "It is written... It is written... It is written..." The Word of Faith is our weapon, our shield, our victory. When the Word of Faith is Sown in You: - Fear loses its authority- Doubt loses its voice- Obedience becomes joyful- Courage rises in the heartThe Word of Faith is not just something we believe; it actively changes us. When it's planted in our spirit, it begins to produce fruit. Fear, which often paralyses us, loses its grip because we stand on God's unchanging promises. Doubt, which sows confusion, is overcome by the clarity of divine revelation. Obedience transforms from a duty into a delight, as our hearts are renewed. And courage, the strength to act despite fear, rises within us, empowering us to live out our faith boldly. The Word of Faith Operates in Three Tenses:Past: We believe the historical gospel—that Christ died for our sins, sickness, and poverty, was buried, and rose again. We still believe today.Present: With the Word of Faith, we trust and walk by faith. "The righteous shall live by faith," (Romans 1:17).Future: We hope in promises not yet fulfilled, confident that "He who promised is faithful," (Hebrews 10:23).If our faith is weak, feed ourselves on the promises, truth, and testimonies, and remember to speak His Word. THE WORD OF GOD: FOUR DIMENSIONS OF DIVINE REVELATION (2)

THE WORD OF TRUTH: THE UNSHAKABLE ANCHOR“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth,” - John 17:17 (NKJV).Truth is not defined by any nation’s culture. God reveals it. The world is changing, but the Word of God stands unchanging. Notice what the Word of Truth does not do:- The Word of God does not bend to our emotions; it heals them. - It does not flatter us; it forms our character. - It does not negotiate with darkness; it confronts it. The Word of Truth:- Exposes what is false.- Aligns what is crooked.- Santifies what is common. - Separates light from darkness. Truth is not harsh; it is healing. Truth is not restrictive; it is liberating. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,” - John 8:32.The truth is Jesus. To abandon the truth is to abandon Jesus. The One Who carried you through your crisis, Who spoke light into your darkness, Who broke chains you could not break—to turn from His Word is betrayal of the highest order. You were delivered by truth; do not now despise your deliverer. Many erroneous teachings kept people in bondage. Only the truth will set them free. The Bereans were noble because they examined the Scriptures daily to verify what they heard (Acts 17:11).Why we need the Word of Truth:- To combat error: Without the plumb line of scripture, we drift. With it, we discern.- To anchor the soul: When storms of doubt, suffering, or persecution arise, truth keeps us from being tossed into doubt and unbelief. The Word of Truth reveals the promises and oaths of God, and so we have hope because God is faithful, Who promised. Therefore, hope is the anchor of our souls. “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls,” - Hebrews 6:19 (NLT).- To guide decisions: “Your Word is a lamp to my feet,”—it provides immediate, practical direction for the path ahead. The Word of Truth demands a response. We cannot be neutral. We either submit to it as the authority over our lives, or we elevate our own opinions, experiences, or cultural norms above it.The lie promises freedom but brings bondage; the truth may challenge us, but it liberates us into the fullness of life God intends.Rev. THE WORD OF GOD: FOUR DIMENSIONS OF DIVINE REVELATION (1)

We live in a generation of many voices, but the Lord is raising a people who know His voice, preserved in the Word of God and known through the Holy Spirit. The Word is not only something we read; it is something we are to live by.- The Word is not only information; it is revelation.- The Word is not only instruction; it is impartation. When God speaks, something shifts:- When His Word enters the mind, darkness retreats.- When His Word is received, life is restored.John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”The Word is God. God is the Word. When we turn to the Word, we are turning to God. The Word of God is not merely a collection of ancient texts; it is a living, dynamic force having the power to transform lives, shape destinies, and guide humanity through the complexities of existence. Let us explore the four dimensions of this divine Word that transform, anchor, empower, and save.THE WORD OF LIFE: THE BREATH OF THE SPIRITJohn 6:63 (NKJV) "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." The Word of God carries the very pneuma, the breath of God. When God speaks into our spirit, His Word releases life into our spirit. When the Word enters: - Hope rises from ashes- Strength returns to weary bones- Direction emerges from confusion- The soul awakens to its purpose1 John 1:1–2 (NKJV) 1 "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us."John doesn't begin this letter with abstract theology but describes Jesus as the Word of Life, Whom they heard, saw, and touched. The "Word of life" is not a doctrine about life—it is life itself, incarnate in Jesus Christ.John 1:14 (NKJV) "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”When we speak the Word of Life, we speak Jesus. The Word of Life is not dead doctrine—it is living and active. Therefore, when we speak the Word of Life, we are speaking Jesus. This Word is not a dead letter; it is living and active. Are you weary? A fresh Word will revive you. Are you discouraged? A Word of Life will lift your head. It doesn't just inform us about God; it brings us into an intimate encounter with Him.Rev. THE WORD OF GOD: FOU

GOD HAS A PLAN TO GIVE YOU HOPE AND A FUTURE

Since China opened up in 1978, it has developed and grown tremendously over the first 30 years. Thereafter, China has advanced by leaps and bounds, growing exponentially in innovation and developments that bring hope and a future not just for her own people but also the world. One example is the Belt and Road Initiative, which is bringing hope and a good future for South Africa and Asia. As China prospers, she is also inspiring others to look into the future with good hope.God told Jeremiah:Jeremiah 29:11–13 (NIV)11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.Today God still has a plan to prosper us, to give us hope and a good future. God told Jeremiah to pray because He had a plan for Israel, even though they had gone into captivity by the Babylonians. If the young people in cities and nations have no hope and a future, then the churches there have never known how to pray or have never prayed for God’s plan to be unfolded and revealed to the leaders of that city or nation. God will hold those churches responsible. The plans of God are a mystery to the natural mind as they pertain to the future. If we do not pray with unknown tongues, there is no way any church can pray to unfold those mysteries. For it is written…1 Corinthians 14:2 (NKJV) For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.Speaking in tongues to God enables us to speak about the mysteries that God knows. These mysteries will unfold through praying in unknown tongues. These mysteries are not mysteries withheld from us, but they are meant to be unfolded to us if only we speak to God with unknown tongues. When there is unrest, chaos, or demonstrations in a city or nation, it is because the churches there did not pray out God’s plan for their own city or nation. Lawlessness is of the devil and is not of God. When we pray, there will be welfare and peace. God’s plan will always contribute to the welfare of the people, and when the people are taken care of, there will be peace and prosperity. God will hold the churches responsible for chaos and lawlessness, as they are all the works of the devil. God has already given the churches the power to pray for peace and prosperity. It is His will for a city and nation to prosper and have peace. Apostle John prayed that we prosper in 3 John 2. When there is disorder and confusion, either the churches are not praying, do not know how to pray, or have never accepted the gift of speaking with unknown tongues. The prayer of the righteous man; we are made righteous in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21), makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working (James 5:16 Amplified Bible) to go against the works of the devil. If the churches pray, then tremendous, effective power will be available to bring about peace and prosperity for a good future. Rev.
